could someone explain to me what the $3000.00 difference is between these two bikes..Im looking at buying the low rider but the super looks identical.I'm sure with a few small changes you could have the same bike? huh?????

I just got a super glide custom and it has the forward controls. But I would like to rake out the front forks a bit without cutting up the frame. I know there's kits out there and was wondering if I would need longer forks as well.

The main price affecting difference is the amount of chrome the Low Rider has versus the Super Glide. The Low Rider has a black powder coated engine which sets off the chrome much better than the silver powder coat of the SG.

Different bars and seat probably add to the price as well. The Low Rider just looks better out of the box. They charge more because they can.

If you'll be riding aggressively in the twisties, the SG will afford you more ground clearance and roughly 3 degrees more lean angle, so you'll be dragging parts less often.

If you are tall, you will need to change to forward controls on either model. You may need to change the bars on the SG; I'm not sure about the LR.

While you are looking, be sure to check out the Street Bob. They are the best looking of the Dynas, except, of course, for the Wide Glides.

But then, I'm a little predjudiced.

Whatever you buy, make sure it fits you and you are comfortable. If it doesn't, check the catalog to find out how much it will cost to make it fit you. It is usually cheaper to buy the right bike up front than it is to add parts later.
